The lovely illustrators doing some live painting at the Future Artists Trade Fair on Thursday - each were given an hour and a half to produce a canvas, kindly donated by Fred Aldous, and in the short time there was some amazing work created!

Thankyou :)

Did some work for a theatre week over my Easter holidays from university :)

This is the last project I did - a competition brief from D&AD to create a supplement for the typographic circle’s magazine, ‘Circular’.

These are some images of the prototype for my supplement ‘Template’ which based on a different kind of magazine format that I was interested in exploring.

A new subscriber would be given the ‘magazine template’ and then each month would be sent a new batch of loose postcards with new content on, rather than a bound magazine.  These postcards are able to fit into the template that the subscriber keeps, in a number of different ways, meaning that they have an element of control over the content.  They can see what they want in the magazine supplement - they can put it on a wall/send to someone else/mix up different issues of cards - I wanted to create a new kind of format that enhances personal choice and sharing content in the way that websites have allowed us become used to.

I did a work placement with Women’s Health at the start of January!

We were working on the first issue of the magazine at the Hearst offices in London and here are two of the spreads I had something to do with that went in the finished thing :)

I learnt loads from this experience (mostly that it’s probably not what I want to do!) but it was a great, really worthwhile experience and I’ve written what it got me thinking about here.

Not posted enough work on here recently - here is one of the things I’ve been doing instead!

Can see my favourite interviews/bits from this essay on my blog: Reflect

Images from Base 3 - our first uni exhibition.

I was part of the small group putting the exhibition together.  Lots of work in a short amount of time, but definitely worth while and we were all pleased with the amount of people who came to see our work!

Thanks to Lottie for the photos! :)
